Exclamation SitePal: Annoying or Cute?

More and more small businesses are using SitePal's virtual talking characters to enhance their websites and increase sales - which begs the the question...

Are SitePal's virtual talking characters annoying or cute?

How do you feel, when you come across a website that has one?

I'm sorry but i don't like them at all, and as soon as i see one of them on any web site, i just click the back button. Too annoying and disruptive to me, probably the fact that they don't really sound human.

I have to agree, i find them pretty irritating...

I would prefer a video of a real person, with the option of me to start them talking. I will listen, but only if i choose.

also, I don't think you can turn them on and off or pause them.

I find them to be pretty annoying. If I see one of those Site Pal's, I'll either turn my speakers off or leave the website.

Annoying

I find those sitepals annoying and I usually leave the website. But if the site is one where I am able to find information I will turn off the speakers while I am on the site.

Annoying here as well. I don't care much for media / audio on websites either but SitePal seems to take it one step further.

dont care what deal or service your offering me, sitepal on it = back button.
if the character's voices were more real life, and didnt talk in monotone and they didnt have characters that thought it was cool to follow your cursor around with their eyes maybe it still follow it. but no thanks.
