Hi Everyone,

I'm in need of your help. I have a client that is in need of a search engine for his website. They are for products, and he wants to have the search engine to search for part numbers.

So I was wondering, which search engine software have you come across as pretty reliable and inexpensive? I've come across a couple already but I'd like to hear from some of you more experienced folks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Dunno if this is exactly what you're looking for, but www.master.com may have the solution you need. It's free and it even allows you to customize the layout of your search results, etc.

Maybe you could just disable the checkout features.

You could just use google to do a site-search, where it only returns results for the specified domain. Ghetto? Yes, but its easy, free and fast.
