Hey everyone. A couple days ago I made the site web20tagcloud.com. Just wanted to hear some feedback from fellow entrepreneurs (hell if you can spell entrepreneur you're ahead of the game).

Similiar to the million dollar homepage, I feel like the hardest part is spreading the word, but once it gets out, this will explode.

Thoughts?

When I look at these type of sites, I wonder what's the point. People surfing to these sites aren't going to click on these links. I would X off a site if it looked like this. I suppose the only benefit is to get your link out there to increase SEO, but even then, I'd rather have it on a valuable site.

the project really shouldn't exist

it's not a good advertising solution because it doesn't efficiently deliver relevant messages to relevant audiences at the relevant time

I agree with akula, its a novel idea from the start but had no real juice behind it to keep it from crashing (which it did a while back as well). No one wants to goto a website filled with links.

The site started a couple days ago, and I do know it needs a hefty amount of work.

I know its terribly unrealistic but I would like to try to make it as far as it can. Its just a side project I've been working on on the side. Who knows, maybe with alot of work it could pull in some cash.

this shop will lead you to another shop which'll lead you to yet another shop where you will find success

personally, if you want to help advertisers solve their advertising problems, there are other, much better solutions which you can commercialize if you wanna make a profit

Sold the first adspace today! After paypal fees it came out to around $20. There might just be a sliver of hope for this one yet. Once the ball gets rolling, this could work. Anyone want to jump on an ad? haha

I altered pricing so they all start out at $1. I feel this will drive it more initially, and also allows the site to go on as long as it can sustain itself.

Will it make it to thousands of dollars / character? Probably not. Has it been profitable already? Absolutely.
