Talking OwnTheMap.com Flash Map - oooo!
Hey folks,

Some of you have probably already seen http://www.ownthemap.com where I'm selling countries as advertising space. After being featured in the local press, the word continues to spread and more people want to get their own country.

I recently coverted to selling in dollars to reach a more global audience and have a wider appeal. Apparently dollars are the world's currency... I tend to agree!

Now, the point of this post. I am proud to unleash my new map at OwnTheMap.com made entirely of flash to add to the entertainment and interactivity ability. Now you can zoom and navigate however you like. What do people think of it? A good move?

Also, there are three more auctions up this week ending in a couple of days, including China. That should go for a substantial amount given its size. Keep an eye on it.

hey Dan, I think it looks phenominal Great Job! as you know both our sites have similar concepts>>www.Map-Traffic.com but they are unique in thier own their way, yours is now realllly unique lol. I hope because of this you will see an increase in sales, im sure you will AND im keeping an eye on China lol. However I like to give credit where credit is due, Frenchie who invented this sites concept and idea, Cheers to him, :P

You might want to look at optimising that flash file if possible... 2MB is considered a big download for many people.

The website looks better than before. I agree you should try to reduce the download size....I think many people wouldn't wait for it. Other than that you just need a logo heheeheheh =)

Why stop at one? I can picture cruise liners, yachts, even airliners cruising across the map bearing advertisements. This could very well be the thing that differentiates your site from the many other map buyouts on the net. If you don't develop this idea I will be very annoyed.

You will be pleased to know that I do have ideas for the boat which are in development. There are a few more things in the pipeline here at OwnTheMap.com.

As for the yachts and planes, that is exactly how I have visioned it. But I decided it would be better to sell all of the countries before adding such extras.

Ahh go on then..... - looks very nice Xepio - seems like you are developing the idea and our sites now seem to be going off in different directions. Hey did anyone read the blog on VirtualWorldRealestate - Gary has a deal worth $70,000 in the pipeline - seems amazing ?!?
Oh and Buythemap got a bit of a makeover this weekend as well, no flashing though......
