Online Scheduling

Over the last couple of weeks I have been looking into starting an online scheduling company. I am aware that there are several companies out there that do this, however I believe with the right marketing strategy that this software could be immensly helpful to people. I was wondering if anyone could provide me with any feedback or sugestions. Thanks in advance for your time.

Just a tip, but there is a software out that runs $800 called Office Anywhere... it seems like a great software cause it has a scheduling features as well as a company contact feature and lots more. Do a Google search for it. Tip is this: This could be a profitable idea if somebody were to either pay for a custom developed program or taking it totally off the hands of the developer (hence, exclusive buyout) and then build up off of it and use it as a online business objective.

I was thinking more along the lines of partnering/using the already established services from a company such as appointment quest and reselling it but I would need a specail feature to differentiate myself fromt the rest of the pack. With my clientel hopefully being doctors, chiropractors and personal trainers I would need somthing that would make them want to choose me instead of the other companies who have virtually the same product as I do. I was thinking along the lines of reviews/ directions / forms placed online but although these are practical certain companies may not find them essential. So Im still confused Ive written a business plan but Im still lost about what else the service should offer. Thanks.

Why not just use open-source software? DotProject and PHProjekt are two exampales of great scheduling/ Virtual Office software solutions.

^^ That is a good idea as well, why not get something free and build it to be something much much much much MUCH more powerful then your average open-source software that you got.
