Well the design for my current community website LiveHouse is very bland, and I wanted to know how I should change it, what colours should be best and such.

Also the usuability factor, how usable is the website actually? Does the current colours affect you mood? Etc Etc

I like it if anything you just need to change the colour scheme.

Where the main box(the brownish bit) just make it a lighter more appealing background and the same with the bit behind the brown box.

Everything else looks fine to me.

he's right - grey contrasts well with sky blue and aqua- patterns are not modern unless they are made properly. try playin with the bkground
