Thumbs up MySpace.com sold for $580 Million

Not sure if many of you guys have seen or used myspace.com, but I thought it was interesting how much tom sold it for. Talk about entrepreneurs!

Yeah man that's some old news, heh...and it wasn't 'myspace' that sold for $580 million, it was the holding company who had interests in MANY other websites, all of which were pretty damn successful. No doubt myspace was the big draw, but it certainly wasn't all $580mil of the deal.

i think tom was just a marketing ploy,
he simply worked in the marketing department of the company who ran myspace.
i thought it was a pretty smart lil marketing gimic because everyone likes a hero
eg bill gates for computers
