That said, even though I've incurred all these costs (which you haven't), I continue to face the same risk as you do in terms of the venture generating a return in the future.
If I put all this effort in, I expect to face less risk than you do, because all these expenses will reduce my future return on investment, and if my expected return is lower, therefore my risk should also decrease.
Will you provide the marketing budget for the project?
It only seems fair that if I put up 10k in web development and maintenance, you put up 10k for marketing expenses.
