Launching Soon - Workoutbox.com - Partners Needed

Hi Guys,

I posted at the end of last year about a Workout related site I was looking to build. The previous post can be found here:

New Website - MyDailyWorkouts.com, partners needed.

Well since then, after quite a few adaptations of the original idea and 3 months + of hard work by an excellent offshore dev team in India, I’m getting to the stage where I’m pretty damn close to launch.

The website I have created is now called WorkoutBox.com and is about 75% complete. It’s a completely bespoke web application and has been built from scratch. We would have used existing code if we could, but as it’s so unique didn’t have the option to.

Maybe I’m being too reserved, but as the idea has actually changed for the better, I’m no longer willing to disclose the exact details of the site publically and its currently password protected to stop prying eyes, I’m afraid. You can view its login page here though - WorkoutBox Administration - Login

All I will say is that it’s now much more manageable and requires much less admin from my end. Out of all the fitness sites out there (and trust me there’s a lot), this is actually offering a FREE service that’s completely unique and very Web 2.0! There’s absolutely no negatives about it really, hence the reason for me not wanting to publically disclose it before launch.

I know this sounds a bit big headed but I’m quite clued up when it comes to the internet and always seem to come up with good ideas for websites, at the moment I actually have to many for me to manage. In a few years, once the membership base has built up, which I’m pretty confident it will as everyone I have told about this idea thinks its exceptional, I can see the business selling for a fair bit of money.

To monetize the site I have the following revenue streams in mind:

Affiliate marketing

The fitness niche is pretty easy to target with Body Building supplements and Ebooks etc. This can be in the form of an Affiliate Store / Shop and targeting marketing to the membership list. Will even be able to segment the list by Sex / Age and target with different promotions.

Also have the option of partnering with other companies and offering specific discounts to WorkoutBox members. I.e. Gym Memberships etc.

Paid Advertising

Once the membership base increases, earning significant money from paid advertising from 3rd parties should also be an option.

So the point of this post – l currently I have envisaged, documented and project managed the creation of the site all on my own. I’m into my fitness but am really looking to bring someone else into the team, who is ideally a fitness enthusiast. I’m also looking for help on the Promotion / Search Engine Optimization front.

I wouldn’t expect any investment financially, just your time. I have another 3 web projects on the go, and simply can’t devote all my time to this one (not with a full time job as well, for now ), although I would love to.

I’m keen to offer a revenue share in all profits from the site and really form a closely knit working team. This will ensure we both stay very motivated and offer a real sense of ownership, which massively increases productivity. Terms will be negotiated depending on what you can bring to the table.

I would imagine in the long run this involving at least 10 hours a week, but trust me the rewards will be huge. I’m basically looking for a partner who can offer the following:

• Decent fitness / anatomy knowledge. Keen gym enthusiast etc.
• Knowledge of internet marketing, Search Engine Optimization, promotion, etc
• Ideally launched sites before, developed marketing plans etc.
• An extremely hardworking individual. I’m very hard working myself and can only partner with someone of similar nature, who can really commit serious time to this project.
• I’m based in London, UK for now, so a similar time zone would be great. I’m happy to do all communications via Email / MSN and maybe the odd Skype call.

I know I haven’t given much detail but I hope you can understand my reasons. Please have a look at my past post for a rough idea. Although the new take on things has more to offer than that I feel.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please PM me with a bit of background about yourself and your experience, location etc. And I’ll send you full details of the idea and login details to the site, so you can go in and have a nose around.

I look forward to hearing from you guys.

Cheers,

Simon

why do need a partner

you make it seem like its gonna be a really big venture and best of luck but you also seem to be running multiple projects.. if this is your best project with the best looking future why don't you work on that 100%

just curious
