Sounds fine to me, if you can find people to pay you.. And if its legal.

MySpace has a habit of suing people that attempt to display unauthorized advertisements...

Well, as long as you don't get caught you'll be ok. Replace the banner that usually appears when you add a new layout to your profile with the sponsored banner.

this kinda falls in a post I was going to do. I just opened a myspace acct, and also a facebook acct. I saw that McDonalds is now on myspace and thought it was good enough for my business. I have no banners or postings i'm being paid for, just putting business info on there. Should this help my business once I get my info in?

Make sure you're not to be caught in the act.
It doesn't matter if you have a blogspot account.

Starting a MySpace or FaceBook account specifically for a business is ok.
Facebook has a special section for it even, in the Ads & Pages stuff...

Loading that page up with referral programs and banners is where they get pissed at you.
