802.11 G also. Waht kind of laptop does everyone here have. I just got a new Dell Inspiron 5150. Man this thing is smoking fast, I LOVE IT!

My family uses teh 802.11 Super G wireless. It's double G. I dont have a laptop, but my dad does. It's a HP PIII 600 MHZ.

Yeah really. My dad is always in teh backyard on his laptop online and I always get jealous. My local library has free wireless internet right next to a big park and people are always basking in the sun online.

In my city there's a ten block radius of completely free internet in the downtown area. It's awesome - easy to connect to and very fast speeds. Check it out www.spokanehotzone.com

Someone mentioned double G - be careful with that - the technology is sort of irritating. All it does is combine the channels to make it faster - but you have no idea what you're doing to the others in your area with regular G. If you combine your channels you swallow the pipeline and kill everyone elses ability to have smooth packet transmission. It's a big stink right now - but hey, as long as your internet is working well I guess it's OK
