My home page can been seen at JOTA HOME. The index of the site really needs to be more eye catching. When I look at my site I see no reason to stay around. If I came from a search engine to my site I would just hit the back button and go somewhere else. So I am looking for a way to keep people on my index longer. I figure the longer I can keep them on my index then the better chance I have of them going to other pages on my site.

So I was looking at http://carversation.com (made by member xbleedblackx89) the other day and I really liked what I saw. Lots of writing, pictures and videos. So I was thinking that some videos would be pretty nice on my site. My question is can I just take any video from youtube and place it on my site? Do I need to try to contact the uploader of the video? If you have any information on this type of thing then that would be wonderful. Thanks in advance for your replies.

You may embed YouTube videos on your website to your hearts content. YouTube even provides you with the code to embed their videos.

Was funny. No more then 1 hour after I posted a video on my site it was suddenly no longer on youtube. Wonder how / why that happened.

It probably got taken down because the video itself violated a copyright law or it went against the youtube policy=/

Bummer. You must be right. I tried another version of the same video and it is now gone too. Now I need to find another eye catcher. Thanks for the info.
