I've finally finish my 300 pages, 6 currencies & 14 languages website
CyFocusMedia.com is finally done!
I've put too much thought, planning and hours for this site. Good thing is that I have fun doing it. I learned a lot about global currencies and languages.
I know, it's just a simple site, but if you think about it, there's so much challenge developing it.
For example, what if you want to change the menu, I don't want to open 300 pages just to change the links. So I used PHP includes for the menus, languages, currencies, and etc.. I also use javascripts and css so that if I want to change the looks of it, I'll just open the css file.
I also spend hours Optimizing it for Search Engine.
My challenge now, is how will I'm going to let them know about this site. One of my plan is submit my sites to a directory such as German directories, Russian Directories, and etc.. which will be a challenge for me because I don't speak those languages.
Enjoy!

Thank you jpomerenke!
That's a very good suggestions. I'm new to this global e-business stuff. I decided to use euro for all the europeans except UK because that's the only available currency converter that I got at this point of time. USD & GBP are available as an alternative.

The only thing that I would suggest is not plastering the home page with the actual commission rate for affiliates. If customers see that, then they tend to get suspicious. Although it is perfectly ethical to have commissions for affiliates, customers see cushion in your pricing. The problem here is that you probably will not hear a complaint from customers... they just won't purchase from you. Just have it display you have an affiliate program, and then talk about the actual rate on a sub page.

Gambit,
Please let me know what you're doing to market to your overseas customers. I especially interested in what you're doing for the UK, Italy, and Germany.
Also, how did you translate your page to all those different languages? I assume you paid a private translator?

I'm pretty sure that TemplateMonster.com (that site he is an affiliate of) does the translation and he had to set his website up where it would display the correct language.

Internet marketing such as SEO, opt e-mail, directories are my main tools. I used my own software to do this where you can monitor your progress. I have 20,000 hits in just one month and I haven't even started the marketing yet. I'm still in a testing period.
For the language translator, there are scripts available for you to make it automated. Some sotware tools comes with this. I believe osCommerce comes with it.
Are you into import/export goods? your best bet will be to go to a B2B market. That will be way faster than Business to Consumer. I'm into software/e-business solutions so don't take my word. I just saw other businesses do that way.

Hi Gambit, Congratulation on lauching your website. It looks fantastic. I couldn't find your SEO and opt-email services on your website.
From where have you created that opt-email list from?
