Wink how to find unique visitor number

maybe I can get some of you traffic gurus to help me out a bit. I was looking at my google analytics stats and I know what a unique visitor is but what number should I be looking at on google analytics that will tell me the amount of unique visitors I am getting.

my page requests for this week was 600. Obviously some of that is the same user. So thats why I need to figure out what numbers to use to figure out unique visitor. Thanks any little help is appreciated!

I second the recommendation for Stat Counter - I've used their free service for years and I love it! I've gotten so much great info, you can block your own IP address, and it's got a ton of useful data.

I *really* like Google Analytics - and crackah - the OP already stated that he's using Analytics.

There should be statistics in Google Analytics to see "Visits" or "Unique Visitors". That should help you.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't most web hosting companies provide stats for your website. I can remember that with a number of different providers that if you typed in the website URL /stats it would bring you to a login page in which you would use your web hosting info and then it would provide the stats for your site. Again I remember using this technique on a number of my sites and it would give me stats such as unique visits, customer visit paths, customer IP addresses, etc.

Google Analytics simple refers to Unique Visitors as "Visits."

Furthermore, "Page Views" divided by "Visits" equals "Pages / Visit". Easy!
