how could i generate more traffic?

I want to know free to cheap ways to bring people...unlike others who will say that I need a niche...etc...I am targeting everyone...i dont mind if i have to target the oldies or yuppies...i just want to reach out and tell them my site exist...FIRST PLAN: let the world know...SECOND: share the idea to them...THIRD: sell it or tell them to tell it to someone interested....that is my plan...im still in first plan...we started last April(site online)..had more than 8000hits...and 6000 visits...but i dont think we made any difference...will soon have a better site...no more shopping cart...it will have a forum...ordering will be a bit harder...we will use of ORDER FORMS...we will only sell 8 products per 2 weeks...We are concentrating in exclusivity of products...i am confused in how to deal with pricing...because i have local & international clients...i need to boost awareness of our site.... HOW????

pls HELP ME!!! visit the site: www.foxistar.com to know how you guys could help.

thanks

we will soon have a new layout...less products..around 8 items per 2 weeks or one month(undecided yet)..we will have forum...and we will remove the shopping cart and instead put an order form...and the best thing will be...YOU WILL BID for the price..Highest bidder might get the item...what do u think of my idea?

list on ebay. if you're not already you're missing out on a great marketing opportunity. You may not get all of the traffic in the world, but you'll get it from people who were looking for products like yours, thus mkore highly targeted and qualified traffic.

Your demographic is NEVER everybody, because you can't be everything to everyone. The reason peopl etell you to focus on a niche is because if you grab a niche where you can narrow your marketing efforts to gain more qualified traffic, you'll see a higher ROI. Remember that if you start from nothing real dollar amounts are important but if you already have an income you need to focus on percentages, because you'll be looking to increase things by a percent.

See what else is out there. I own myweddingregister.com. It doesn't get much traffic but it gets a few hits a month. Why not get a few domains like that where people will pass by and see it and you may start to build traffic like that?

Get some partner sites that deal with a demographic that would most likely buy your bags, etc. Smaller versions of "spencer gifts" or something like that. The guy who makes the monkey... paul ralph, frank ralph, something or other, his crowd would be the ones you're looking at. The good side of that is his demographic is huge

thank you so much...well actually, when i say my target is everone, it doesnt mean that im gonna sell to everyone...its basically, just an information campaign...evn though not everyone cares and knows about it...it is still nice you to target all since you really never know who will buy your things or not...unlike other bag companies wherein they have certain target group like teens for example...if i target teens only...what if later on i find out that they do not want our stuffs?...then all my efforts will be useless..i believe that since my items are unique, i hav a bigger market to top...even though i know for a fact that not everyone is my market. i just do not want to miss out anybody by targeting a certain group and focusing on them.. but again, i maybe wrong...i dont know...but it helps that people tell me to wake up.hehe...i hav to think about my idea...it sounds ridiculous..why can't i just say YES to everything??? haha... thanks man!

That's why larger companies have "test groups" - they see who is most interested in their product or if people are interested at all. Another thing that would help - go to colleges and high schools. Find the hottest chicks you can - the bubbly blond ones who are surrounded by like 15 jr high girls all wanting to be them - and give them a free bag. Give them a t-shirt to go with it and let them wear it. You'll never have better advertising.

Almost forgot: another way to push some product... and this is going to sound cheesy, but I don't care because those sites are pretty much full of sheep and monkeys (who have money to spend) is go start up accounts on faceparty.com, facethejury.com, hotornot.com, myspace.com, paxed.com, hi5.com (I think?) and all those other sites... blackplanet.com, asianavenue.com, migente.com, yahoo... all the community sites. Start profiles with pics of good looking people and mention your bags and other products. Then take some time out of your day to go to where the braindead people go (totse.com, caught22.com, any other halfwitted boards) and go to their sections with "I found it on the web" or "websites of interest"

Post links to the pictures of the good looking people.

Another similar trick, this was used by levi's.. get like 5 or 6 chicks, who are good looking, but not like models. Don't make it too obvious. Put up small personal websites for them and just put stuff up on their pages that's basically meaningless crap like you'd find in teen magazine or something. List a bio or something (don't make all the pages the same layout) and in the "favorite things:" section... you get the idea.

Post links to those sites on the same sites as the others. See where this is going?

not to offend anyone, but it's never hard to find good looking and willing models. just catch some tourists and throw some flattery up. You're in business, you should be a salesman. They don't have to be blond, it was just a stereotype used to get the point across. just find chicks that are pretty, but not too pretty. too pretty screams commercialism.

Not to bust your blond chick gathering party... but is this really going to be effective?

The products you sell are purchased by women, not men. So why on earth would you use women as your appeal to draw men to the site?

All the men will do is look at the women and then leave the site?

Don't you think using something that would bring actual buyers to the site might make a little more sense?
