Hi,

The best way to start to get traffic is through pay per click methods like yahoo and google. These are great just to get you started, and also can be very cheap.
Another way is through joint ventures with other people. These people can be people in the same or in a totally different field it doesnt matter. Just join together and start advertising each others products.
Another way to get traffic, and you dont even have to do any advertising, is through viral marketing. You need to create a buzz around your product so that people go and tell theirs friends. This is a great way.

there are many good posts here and one warrior forum that deal with this.

i would start with PPC to get more targeted traffic and myspace to leverage off their huge amount of traffic for FREE

that just a start...others ways include article writing, forums, blogs, competitions. etc
