If you aren't a web developer yourself, consider starting a blog or podcast.

Make sure you capture names & emails <<-- give them something for this. And create a mailing list to keep in touch and offer specials. Between creating content for your blog and growing your list, those would be the two larges priorities. You can get affiliate programs for revenue. CJ has travel as well as hotels. Revenue is the toughest past. Keep your eyes on the two things I mentioned first ... posting to your blog ... and growing your list. If you do this, the revenue will happen. Give it time. There's no magic bullet as some people claim. That's just a lot of marketing hype.

Put a SIG on your outgoing emails to promote it too.

My parents have just started an online travel biz, and are very excited by it.

yeah, this works

http://www.wotif.com/ did a 300+mill IPO less than 12 months ago

this is a hot space

be like wotif

if you can show that WTF made 45mill revenue and 16.5mill after tax profit (36%!!!!!!!), you shouldn't have problems getting people to giving you trade credit to kick start the damn thing

of course, these extraordinary financial results are for a company operating in a tiny, 20mill person country
