Hosting

Hello all,

I will be setting up a hosting company in Q4 so would like to gain some info on your current host and any extras you may want. If you could take the time to answer these questions I would appreciate it.

How much do you currently pay for hosting?
What do you get for this (web space, bandwidth, domains, email)?
Do you prefer a free intro period or lower monthly price?
How would you like to pay?
Do you pay monthly or in advance? What would you prefer?

Anything else?

Thanks

YPAL.

Hey there - My host is 1&1 - www.1and1.com - for a years worth of hosting plus a domain name it's something like $18. It's a great deal becuase it comes with

5 GB web space
500 e-mail accounts
250 GB traffic

I hate introductory prices, I'd go with the lower overall monthly prices.
Paypal is the easiest and widely accepted way of payment.

Hope this helped - Good Luck.

Currently I pay $10 a month for hosting.

I get 5GB of space, and 75GB of bandwidth per month.
I also get unlimited domains on the account by using addon domains.

I prefer a lower montly price. I like to pay by using credit card but I also use Paypal so it would be nice to have an payment option for that.

Even though I don't use support much, I want the support to solve my probably instantly.

Hey guys, thanks for the quick responses, all useful stuff.

One question I forget to ask, I will edit my original post. Do you pay monthly or in advance? What would you prefer?

Support is something that would be a top priority.

I pay monthly. I hate payments in advanced because you don't know what your service is going to be like.

I use dot5hosting.com and for $6/month you get 2gb webspace and 80gb bandwitdh/month which I thought was very reasonable.

The no.1 priority for me is support. With my host you can rate the priority of your question and as long as nobody abuses this it works very well.

I've never seen hosting this cheap, I thought 1and1 was more expensive than that!
