Help with internet startup

I am at the research stage of starting an internet business. I am thinking about registering with skatewhale here on the boards. Just got a couple of questions. if people could answer that would be great.

1) after you have registered a domain name and the year is over, could another buyer come in and buy that domain name or am I given first dibs to reregister the domain.

2) How do you link a site to a business. I am forming an LLC and the site will be under this LLC company. Is there formal documents that would say that this site is under the LLC company so that it would be legal and everything.

You are given first dibs on domain renewal. If you miss your registration most registrars take the site down but give you 30-60 days to renew it before they release it.

Although I am no legal experts just make sure any documents pertaining to the domain are under the corporations name (not your personal name). All checks should be taken under the corporation.

Hi HotSizzles!
Thank you for considering us for the hosting You could try us out using our 10-days Trial. Just to get a taste about our service before you decide

(1) Depends on your register, most will sent you an automatic notification 30 Days before the domain expires. As Steve said, they will probably give you 30-60 days to decide on the domain.

(2) I am not so sure about this question, because there doesn't seems to be any LLC corporations in canada. As Steve just said, if you write everything related to the website on your Corporation name, it should be ok.

Have Fun!
Nick,
ps: registration fee for a corporation is so high here in Ontario! lol a provincial corp. will cost $360. (Almost the money for a trademark in US)

To link your websites to your LLC you would use DBAs.
