Help Starting a Webdesign Company

Hey everyone!

I plan on starting a webdesign company. I have a trustworthy partner who could decently code, but I am looking for possibly another coder and/or designer. Could anyone assist me on where/how I could possibly find trustworthy partners who have the skills to do the job. Also how would I go about getting clients? Please assist me, I am really confused as of now.

Also, could everyone who has started a webdesign company before explain the process you went through and what obstacles you encountered and how you overcame it.

Thank You,
sdp

save yourself the agony of cold calls by using your first few clients (family friends etc) as referrals- have them suggest you to their friends.

its always more believable when someone else says your services are great. example:

<---------------- the absolute best web developer

yeah so anyone actually believe that? hahaha. what about:

"Casey did not only design one of the best web sites we've ever seen, but assisted us with our content. He is both innovative and professional." Jefferson Davis, President, G-knome Biotech Inc.

Now it has you thinking. Well Jefferson is the president of his company- so he has to know something or two. Maybe I'll go with him...

Don't make it up just ask for a quote or two from your clients.

Good luck!

<~ doesn't mind tossing tips as he's no longer in that market

Thankz Casey, about you not being in the market.

Web Design experience? Nothing violent or romantic to report.
Did some work for Alida Connection in the local NH area.

The best part of the job though?

The boss traded some IT help for radio air time when we fixed up a nearbye station... which created The DotCom Hour. Started out call screening, eventually produced and hosted the radio show. talk about FUN!

Amazon, ebay, lycos... all sorts of big wig guests! Very cool stuff.

Some folks said I had a face made for radio They were just jealous of my good looks
