I have yet to see any others make a million dollars or come close.

The closest I have seen is topmichiganwebsites.com, also owned by topusawebsites.com. All together they have probably made around $75,000 to $100,000.

I don't think we will see another million dollar winner. The novelty has worn off and unless there is a really unique and useful spin on the idea I don't think we ever will see a repeat.

Lightbulb I think you are right, not another MDHP millionnaire

The problem for all the copies of the MDHP is that they felt the point of the success of the original idea.

For me there is two things to the success :
- Being Original.
- Pursuing a goal to enhance people lives. (in MDHP is enhancing the author life and recently the red cross would have 50% of donations from him)

Considering that, we (a friend and I) have a made an "audio enhanced pixels advertising" page called the MillionDollarPodcastLive to support the development of an international community.

The goal of this community is to exchange ideas, develop new products and services around the podcast scene. Every advertiser are encouraged to participate in the development of the community with online collaboration tools.

We are searching for partners to create country localised audio pixels pages to support and animate the local entreprenarial community.

For the creative part : We've thinked that sounds could be a lot of fun behind those pixels ads and they really have a sense of living sounds since advertisers can change it at every moment they want.

If you want to know more on our idea let's check the FAQ . Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

It is was www.supportmylifestyle.com but the link is dead. Maybe he was lying about how much he was selling then just shut it down.

He was supposedly trying to make $1 million for a Bentley and some other crap.

I also agree that he was lying stating that he made $250,000 (he was trying to trick the advertisers making them think it would be a good idea to place a ad since others do), anyways I don't see a professional company placing a ad on a website with a theme such as supportmylifestyle.com.

TOPUSAWEBSITES.COM is a interesting concept which was started 01-02-2006.

As I've said before, I think this whole "pixel advertising" phenomonen (did I spell that right?) can still be successful... just in different forms.

If you have the traffic that everyone could share in, who wouldn't want to pay a measly $100 to advertise their site? Hell if they went to a site with fairly good (but low) traffic they would still be up for $200 per month at least to put their banner up.

Traffic generally means advertisers will be willing to pay.

How do you get traffic?

You need to have a site interesting enough to attract the visitors and the traffic. Everyone I think was interested in the MDHP because it was new and the media created a buzz... but basically everyone was going on there to checkout how much money Alex Tew was up to.

Little pixel blocks aren't interesting to visitors anymore (in fact as I said above, I don't think people went to the site to see the pixel blocks).

Innovation people.

Checkout my blog, subscribe to it if you like, and I'll be posting when I release my "version" of the MDHP in the next few weeks... it's no copy-cat, it's a mashup and it's interesting on the users behalf and cheap and fair on the advertisers behalf. So hopefuly all will go well launch day when I execute the pages of marketing plan I've got roughed out so far

cheers
nathan

Nado, you seem like a sensible chap, what do you honestly think about http://www.buythemap.com - its quite tough keeping the traffic up but I genuinely think its a development on MDHP....

Oh Topusawebsites doesn't look like it is doing that well to me?
