Links... You won't get anywhere in search engines without links. Try and build up your backlinks and you will see your site get indexed and ranked.

Try this thread for starters:

You can submit a sitemap to Google as well. And make sure your robots.txt has Google's bot listed OK to spider your site

While I have some more time now use GSiteCrawler to help you create an XML sitemap.

And then you might need to sign into Google but go to Google Webmaster Tools to submit the sitemap.

Add
Code:
Sitemap: http://www.example.com/sitemap.xml
to your robots.txt file to let MSN and ask.com know where your sitemap is. I also have
Code:
User-agent: Mediapartners-Google*
Disallow:
in mine. I think this is the one that tells Google it is OK to spider your site. And then Yahoo has a place whre you can submite your URL and manage it.

Ask.com is
Code:
http://submissions.ask.com/ping?sitemap=http://www.exmaple.com/sitemap.xml
in the address bar.

What exactly is the "sitemap" that Google has to offer if I can ask without making it look like I'm hijacking the thread?

Check out the XML sitemap link. It's the standard that most search engines are adopting to help search engines spider sites basically. The Google Webmaster link will help you upload it and Google Webmaster Central has the information you need

I'll check it out Corey thanks. By the way, do you know of any software that I could use to manage my site statistics as well as review other things that could benefit my site. For example, a good SEO program that based upon content through my site will recommend good keywords, etc.
