Google Adsense

Is there a way to find how much specific Google Adsense ads pay? Can you tailor a site around the ads that pay the most?

How much will I earn through this program?
The Google ads you are able to display on your content pages can be either cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-1000-impressions (CPM) ads, while AdSense for search results pages show exclusively CPC ads. This means that advertisers pay either when users click on ads, or when the advertiser's ad is shown on your site. You'll receive a portion of the amount paid for either activity on your website. Although we don't disclose the exact revenue share, our goal is to enable publishers to make as much or more than they could with other advertising networks.

The best way to find out how much you'll earn is to sign up and start showing ads on your web pages. There's no cost, no obligation, and getting started is quick and easy. You can sign up now from the AdSense home page at https://www.google.com/adsense .

Once you're a part of Google AdSense, you can view your earnings at any time by logging in to your account at https://www.google.com/adsense and clicking the Reports tab. You'll be able to see the total number of page and ad unit impressions, ad clicks, clickthrough rate, effective CPM, and your total earnings so you can get an idea of how well the program is performing for you and how much you can expect to earn over time in the program.

You can sign up with AdWords and get an idea of the amount the advertisers will pay. With Smart Pricing and Google's cut you won't be too sure on how much you get.

just signed up

just signed up with adsense this morning anyone making any money off this??
sounds good to me, but would like more information from others that have collected anything in excess of $100 from adsense. The t.o.s. agreement makes it sound like i cant advertise anything else on my page is that true?

I'm making money off of AdSense. I have already made over $100 and I'm looking to make a lot more. You can't put competing contexual ads on the same page as AdSense. Everything else is fine.

Yes

Certain keywords obviously pay higher then others...

here is a site that updates the "highest paying keywords"

go to www.cwire.org

^as you can see it shows what the keywords are paying PER CLICK.

I'm researching all this AIS (automated income stream) crap right now, myself, where people claim to deploy a ton of content heavy sites with Google Adsense and make thousands and thousands. My research is on my site YolkSmoke below, though, honestly, I've yet to prove it works. There's a guy named John Reese who has a video (link on my site) where he pitches his techniques and shows you his Google Adsense account which clearly shows $500,000 of ad revenue he made. Personally, I think it would be easier to use Photoshop to create a fake GoogleAdsense screen, than to actually generate half a million dollars with Google Adsense...

...but I'd love to be proven wrong. Is anyone actually making sustainable income from Google Adsense? Great question.

I found the following links that answer your question:

http://www.cwire.org/highest-paying-search-terms/

http://www.iotaweb.org/

I found the real estate ads and folks in the financial arena pay more for ads, I guess because they tend to make a whole lot more per deal (3k+)

Heh

Heehhe. Iotaweb.org is one of my experimental sites. The data is a bit old, but it's still pretty accurate.

Note that all of these sites generally say what the COST TO THE ADVERTISER is. I don't know of any site that attempts to track payout to the publisher (Google is pretty hush hush about how Smart Pricing works, and isn't upfront about the percentage that they take).

Cheers,

May I ask: How did you get your data? Is there a Google API that allows you to tap into that info?
