Maybe you can consider mass e-mailing your friends for awareness? Or mention it in your blog?

Great thread,

From reading the above, I think forums are a great ways to get free traffic to your site. Traffic is the lifeblood of online business. There are many unique traffic-building techniques available to online businesses. The key is to attract visitors as many as possible. How to get traffic to your site is a primary concern among online businesses. The more traffic you drive to your site, the more customers who can buy your products or the more clients that can hire your offer. Regardless, of the makeup of your company, there is no such thing as too much traffic.

Actually, not to get carried away, TARGETED traffic is the key. Traffic that isn't targeted won't convert so it's not really worth pursuing. If you do foster loads of junk traffic you can eventually drive up your hosting costs without improving your sales and that's definitely not what anyone wants.
