Filling out Wholesale application

I just started to fill my information in for a wholesale application, but I'm stumped. I'm also in the process of filling out my resellers certificate. And the question that confuses me is that they ask for my Legal business name, I have a name for my business but is there something special I should do to make it legal.

Also one more quick question- What does DBA mean and what should I do about it?

My advice: Set up an LLC with your state. It isn't too expensive, and once filed, will protect your personal assets from lawsuits, etc, etc. PM me if you need any help with setting it up!

theapprentice- I think I'm gonna go with about 3 different dropshippers, I don't know the names at the top of my head but I think one of them is Wynit.

And quick question for everyone-

I just want to sell these items on eBay and I have my user name which was what I originally wanted to name my business, but I wanted to expand to a website eventually and then call my company that. Can I leave the legal business name as my real name, and skip the dba thing until I want to expand and call my company what I wanted to name it. My business will be sole proprietorship with my dad signing everything since I'm not 18 yet.

I would strongly advise against that as it may not be legal to do, I'm not a lawyer, but find one and talk with him. Secondly, it does not cost that much to register a business name, the highest I've seen is around $100 for an LLC. I'm sure a sole proprietorship will not cost more. Register your business name, you will have to, so why not do it now? You would only fill in the DBA if the business has a different name than that of your registered business. Hope that helps.
