Entrepreneurs Working Together Under One Domain Name, buiBase.com

I need feedback on a new concept, buiBase. Imagine, entrepreneurs working on their own project under one domain name. Sharing customers or traffic is the net result. buiBase is a Content Management System that will host all the websites under the buiBase domain name. Our business model is designed to support other entrepreneurs, we call associate members. We plan on channeling traffic to local businesses that will support our cause via sponsorship. please check out http:dan.buibase.com and feel free to sign up and test our system out.

I Look forward to your feedback and most importantly people who want to get involved.

welcome to the board.

What does buibase mean? Does the bui stand for anything?

welcome!

well...no

it's an interesting/gimmicky way to try and sell a CMS, but no

this is not a product I would not buy because it does not appear as the best solution to my problem

my problem is web publishing. my simplest, easiest, cheapest solution is wordpress

if I want something more complicated, I'll use osCommerse or something else

yet still, if it's something more substantial, I'll engage talent

but...using an inferior CMS because it's got some kind of a social networking feature?....not likely

sorry buddy

I know that you're looking for some sort of a competitive edge, you've probably realised that it's not gonna be in tech (because of open source)...so you're trying to get an edge in marketing

you're on a good track....but the proposed marketing mix needs some reworking

Actually, we are not selling the CMS. It is free for the novice users to quickly have a site without the worry of hosting, design, developement, etc. We are mainly interested in creating effective traffic for our local sponsors. Here are samples of what can be done by any novice user. http://oca.buibase.com http://medox.buibase.com http://stonino.buibase.com

I am curious. Does it make a difference if it is free?

sure...price is an important factor for my decisions

for a CMS, I'd pay <$15month

but it's gotta be pretty special

software is very cheap....it's everywhere....

sure..it doesn't really matter what you think you're selling

if I am the customer and I think that you're pitching me a CMS, then you're pitching me a CMS...unless you change the pitch

but really....guys who buy technology are pretty cluey....I've done what you're doing right now (i.e. creatively marketing a website builder) and people tend to have a very tough filter for marketing bs

what can I say? it's a tough market..

Akula, I really am not pitching a CMS, I am only interested in traffic for my sponsors. That is why I think this will work. Bottom line, I want sponsors and to get sponsors, I need traffic. To get traffic, I will give out CMS for free. As for the upgrades, which I believe you are saying is the same as selling for the CMS. I have no interest in capitalizing on it. That is reserved for the entrepreneurs involved. Programmers and I are paid by sponsors and will design and develop dynamic modules for the entrepreneurs to sell. For example, school modules might include lunch calendar, homework posting, teacher's bio's, etc. All that will be free to the entrepreneurs to capitalize on. You said this is a tough sell, and I agree that is why we want entrepreneurs to do one-on-one selling and the incentive is all the profits will be theirs while the hosting, CMS and modules are at no cost to them. We are doing all this for traffic. I guess I am banking on the one-on-one selling to bring true traffic. Sorry for writing a book. How do you feel about that approach? You mentioned you have tried similar marketing techniques. Can you share? Thanks.

Denis3721, Thank you for your interest. I have to credit the programming all to Tom Wong our main programmer for the backbone of the system. As for the webpages, I can put one together via the buiBase system in about 15 minutes and it will all look pretty professional and different. I am looking for partners. This is very new and I have many positions available. Partner wise, currently we are looking for about 3 programmers, a few entrepreneurs, a legal person, 1 designer. Future envolvement of people will only be hired or associate members. First please go to http://www.buibase.com/index.php?set...ember.register
and register then play around with the system and let me know if it still interests you. I want the people involved to really understand what the system and concept is all about. You have to be patient with administering your CMS, we are still working hard to make it user friendly.
