Cool E-Mail Marketing Question

Hey Everyone It's Been a long while!!!
But anyways, here’s my story so far. I’m in college and my target audience is the Student organizations around me on campus. I compiled a list of all the presidents email addresses from a website from our school webpage and I was curious to know if I could use them. You know, send them some information on what I was doing. Does anyone see anything wrong with this? I mean it was on the internet with there name, Email address and Student organization. I would hate to see this info go to waist by not using it. Good or Bad? Thanks and maybe if I make some money I will buy some lucky person a 30 pack of Keystone Light!!! THANKS

It's a tricky situation. Technically you are spamming them since they didn't opt-in, however, college campuses are breeding grounds for unsolicited advertisements. I would send them an initial email saying if you want more info, subscribe, if not, you will never be contact again. You could also post flyers up. One other way to do it is that many college campuses have mailboxes for the student orgs, you could print up a flyer and put one in each of their mailboxes.

Yeah buynick is right think of it this way, if you know they are interested, they'll be easier to work with now and the future because they've agreed first to what you are doing

Good Call

Hey guys thanks....

I'm thinking i will send them something to via mailbox and have them reply to us online. then that way i won't get into any trouble. And if i do not get any replies then i will send them all an email. Just one... Then i can see what we can do from there. It just seemed to easy. But guess not.

Thanks-Talk to yall and let you know how it went.
