Im just getting started on building my first site and have done some reading . It can get confusing at times. Traffic exchange ideas good or bad would be helpful to me. THXS

yes traffic exchanges do bring traffic to your website at Fast Freeway, you get 100 clicks when you register, it works pretty good for me, so its worth a shot.

Dont forget that traffic exchanges are against google ads TOS though...

Good advice re: google. Never post a page with a google ad on a traffic exchange.

Google doesn't like traffic exchanges, possibly due to scammers who used traffic exchange scripts for click fraud activities, e.g., you click mine and I'll click yours and perhaps because they don't consider traffic exchange page views to be 'good'. Unfortunately, this impacts legitimate traffic exchanges and google ad publishers as well as the less desirable in these groups.

Traffic exchanges will work for you if you structure your ads to grab attention in 10 or so seconds or so and/or you have interesting or unique offerings, whether these be of a commercial nature or other.

Traffic exchanges are certainly the cheapest way to go advertising wise and the most guaranteed method for getting what you're offering right in people's faces. Just have to make sure your message grabs folks fast.
