Do You Own YE?
Some members on YE, perhaps including myself, once have accumulated a whopping large number of postings, feel like they are the masters on YE.
They tend to thwart off and belittle some genuine newcomers on YE.
So, do you feel like you own the YE, just because you have a high number of postings on your profile?

Well what do you know, another very interesting topic started by usakos.
I always demean and belittle when necessary. Someone has to.
Have you noticed a few of the members here post alot - recently...
But just for the sake of posting. Like 1 word or one sentence replies.. As if their only trying to obtain high posts.
For example, this one guy comes to the post maybe once every 3 days, but when he does, he replies to every single thread he missed and writes useless one sentence remarks. Then disapears again.
It's just a nuisance.
Let's see if one of them posts here.

Some of the threads started by members only require a few words to sum up everything.
However, there are those who seem to think your post count is what really matters. I rather have someone who maybe posts once in a blue moon but when he replies/starts new threads he has vital information to share. Those are the people that keep the forum thriving for more.

I agree.
It is useless and rather annoying when someone replies to a thread thanking everyone individually for replying to his thread.

Me myself... I believe quality over quantity in any situation. I don't necessarily partake myself as being a master because I contribute alot to the forums, but you have to figure contributing to any forum is what keeps the activity alive.
Just because one has many posts doesn't necessarily mean that the one person has low quality posts... now I agree with Josh... if they consistently keep posting just to say one or two things... then that is useless space, even if it is a for of contribution to the forums.

I have to admit that most of the times when I post a reply to some threads, I have never been completely serious. I know I can be very helpful on certain topics, but I only post short and silly answers.
