Develop guts to achieve glory

It is just amazing the amount of people who don't have the
courage to go after their dreams. They sit around living a life
they are not happy with and still they do nothing about it.

And the funny thing is that if you should ask them the reason
for this, they start finding excuses left, right and center. They
vary from money to age to the economy and others you might be
familiar with.

Many of us are waiting for Lady Luck to pay us a surprise
visit. We blindly believe that that will be the end of our
troubles. But this is hardly so.We have to work hard and wisely
for the success we desire.

To make something of ourselves in this world calls for us to
overcome obstacles and setbacks. But my biggest obstacle is my
fears and you may find yourself in a similar position.

Not facing our fears and moving on could be the difference
between success and failure. So what's to do ?

All it takes is the will and guts to go ahead and create
something worthwhile in this world. We can all achieve success
but we need to conquer our FEARS.

The man without fear is one who is not living. We all have our
personal fears. It can be fear of failure, success or people's
opinion. But you have to face them to achieve success.

Ask any successful person and they will tell you this secret. A
brave person is someone who acts in spite of his or her
fears. So ask yourself, what fears do you need to conquer to
reach your goals ?

To your success and mine....... ,

Nicholas

Very well said and so true.

Fear is the number one show stopper when it comes to peoples success. Fear also creeps in and makes things seem worse than they really are.

I've found the greatest challenge is working past that initial fear. When it first occured to me to sell sunglasses online, I was quick to reject the idea. Lucky for me, the idea seemed to stick and I worked past the doubt... developing solid ideas and plans.

There have been many obstacles I've come across that came very close to stopping me. But after each one, instead of weakening my idea I've found it's motivated me further.

Every day, thousands of people have thousands of amazing ideas on new products, innovations, ways to improve their lives and the world around them. Unfortunately, most of the time doubt and fear push these to the side and these people get back to the "real world" - no time for crazy dreams and ambitions, but a more solid path with an exact equation for success and happiness.

If you come up with an idea, no matter how stupid or ridiculous it seems, write it down. Keep a file on your computer or write it on a notepad on your desk... just write it down right away. While it may seem pointless now, in a couple months you'll have a good collection of ideas... and one of those might be the one.

Here's a favorite from my list:

Jerky on a Stick - The ultimate snack... little chunks of beef jerky stuck on a skewer and wrapped individually. Ever tried to share a big chunk of beef jerky? It's hard to tear apart, and you end up with your hands all over Grandpa Ted's snack. Instead, bust open a Jerky Stick and pass it around... everyone pulls off their own chunk. And each one has a variety of flavors (spicy, mild, sweet) and maybe some peppers or something. Sell them at theatres, vending machines, etc.

Once you have an idea, don't let it slip away. Keep working and believing in it. If you start to lose faith, fake it. Go out and tell someone about your idea... sell the idea with ambition and enthusiasm. Yours may be fake, but what you receive back will be real enough to keep you running.

Thumbs up

Hey Mike,
You know you hit the nail on the head!
I came across my first difficulty when i thought about the copyright thing. (for those unaware, check out my thread in the ecommerce section) .I tried to look it up in some books and also on the net. But i did not get much info. I thought of giving it all up as i was not getting any answers. Then i thought of asking you guys, and bang i got the reply i was waiting for (hey mike, i trust your knowledge on that).
I was about to give up. But fortunately now i am going ahead with it and hope to make it big. Thanks a lot Mike!

PS:- By the way your "Jerky on a Stick" idea seems very interesting. I wont be surprised if i find someone selling them. I'll know whom to hold responsible.

Great to hear you're going ahead with your business, jprasun, you'll find that with each obstacle you work past, you're better equipped to handle the next one.

If you do your research and manage risks, even in the worstcase scenario of complete failure - the experience and knowledge you've gained makes it a success.

Hehe, glad you like the Jerky on a Stick idea. I won't be pursuing this, but wouldn't be surprised to see it done sooner or later. People will buy just about anything... and with food it's more often about the experience than the product itself.

By the way, what type of product will you be selling?

Hey guys,

Wonderful thread with a lot of informatin thank you guys. I would like to add some more here.

Attitude towards life can make a successful man/woman by thinking positive, setting goals and working on the goals.

A winning attitude repeatedly takes work to develop. A significant part of this work involves forming positive statements about you; such statements are repeatedly developing your work. Over time, as we hear such statements repeatedly, we develop beliefs about ourselves, and begin to organize them into a faith system.
