Cool date master?getting girlzz

my friend gave me this i dea i thought it was pretty cool. He told me to start a website where guys that had trouble finding dates or talking to girls..etc. could go to get advice or ask questions through out the forum about there issues. About once a week i would discuzz a topic like first moves or how to ask a girl out fr free. The catch was that if the guys wanted to ask more personal questions, wanted really detailed answers they would have to subscribe to a monthly membership. I'd be like the online HITCH

Sounds interesting, but it may be hard to gain credibility for your advice -- and you cannot just paraphrase advice that is plastered all over the internet for free... because then there is no money in it.

Perhaps you shouldn't limit yourself to creating a forum (unless done very well, forums are usually only good for making ad revenue).

Well, you need credibility first. There is free advice all over the internet... you need to make yourself stand out. Once you have that, you can consider making money.

well i would be giving free advice of my choosing though, it would only be when the men wanted to ask personal or more specific questions that they would be considering the membership.

This is an interesting space. Here are two points to guide you:

a) You're on the right track. Men do have problems with romance, relationships and sexuality. There is a market for date doctors.

You absolutely must run a survey to identfy a whole bunch of critical things. Ask about this list if you want the thread to run longer.

b) To solve your "credibility" problem (and it is a problem), you must make use of user generated content. Get men to write a line of advice for how to pick up chicks, aggregate it and publish this info. This is what you should do:

You can make an variant of Google Aswers. To post a question on your site (i.e. "how to get to third base"), the person must first answer a question posted by another user. Do you get it?

e.g. I come to the site. The first thing I see is a question from another user (i.e When is Valentines' Day?). I write an answer (14th Feb), I can then see all the other answers other people have posted to that question, and then I can post my own question (what's the best way to break up: phone or SMS?), after which I can answer another question and the circle repeats it self (other users come to the site and answer my question). I can also get a shot at posting another question by inviting a friend to the website (i.e. come to this website to answer this interesting question because I don't know the answer).

Other than solving your credibity problem (i.e. I trust what my peers say), there are other reasons why you should implement this user generated solution over other solutions. You can ask about that as well.

Finally:

If you can execute b), you'll be successful.

To get it off the ground, do a), gather the results which prove that you have a good idea, and then use those results to recruit people on this forum to make the site for you.

As always, so as to give you motivation, I think you are full of shit, there is no way you'll get off your ass to commercialise this venture, so it's left up to you to prove me wrong.

P.S. needless to say, stay away from implementing any silly forums. They're not elegant, effcient, or remarkable.

Sidenote:

Baris Karadogan posts an interestingly eclectic discussion on the future of online dating. You should read his blog and try to get the time of day from this venture capitalist.

http://baris.typepad.com/venture_cap...g_web_20_.html

Enter Internet. In the Internet world where there is an abundance of information on dating sites, social networking sites, blogs, eHarmony, Google etc, it is not a big leap of faith to say that people will have a lot more information about their prospective mates. One can easily see a global & voluntary ranking of men and women by different traits. So every woman will have the same information on who the best domestic-bliss guys are and who the best ‘harem’ guys are. Nothing prevents one guy to be both. A woman could say “yes, this guy is happily married, but he’s healthy, smart athletic, good looking, charismatic and I would love to have his kids if I had a choice, even if it is to raise him alone.” So what’s new here?

An alternative would be to take the Hitch approach and get all of your clients through referrals.
