Well, just added a link section, and now members can DIGG threads /// Also expanded the sections. 5 years? Hm I made 99c revenue yesterday, so I hope to be making alot more with my site, I hope to get alot of backlinks, move up the ranks of Alexa, I want to eventually get custom work done, once I get enough $$$ together - I'm pretty content with the direction right now, 3-4 signups a day, my site is under a week old, making adsense money everyday, hm yeah the AFFILIATE mod is sweet, people paid to get it developed, but I got it for free!
After I get all the great SMF MODS in there, I will keep on getting new members, keep on implementing new features /// especially requests, maybe setup an online store, maybe provide some email, hopefully not be limited to SMF mods ... My concept is a mix of yahoo [integrated services] totse [libertarian discussion forum] and namepros - I have a marketplace setup, will now probably install a trader MOD, maybe IRC or regular Java chatroom. Just trying to draw in traffic, and keep people tuned in.
Remember my webhost idea? I might integrate it into my website, start reselling hosting for people that are active, or exchange for points once my store mod is installed. I don't want to do that now, too early. I have 24 members now, 3-7 adsense clicks a day, hell, I never went a day without revenue. I made $50 because someone signed up through my hostgator offer, but didnt report it, so it looks like that's in my pocket.
I might offer email through Google - They provide email for your users, like @crud3w4re.com but it'd be powered by gmail, but that seems like an annoyance, not sure I want to do that yet

The way I figure it ... I just keep my board active, keep marketing it, keep building a memberbase, keep creating backlinks, and something good will turn up.
I started my site with SMF because phpbb sucks, support sucks, and alot of nice mods to utilize. I wanted to start a site from scratch, but development would cost too much money, and my concept is loose, and anti-niche. No investor would go for that .. Just keep it going, that's my motto. I built so much search engine listings of my online alias W/O EXT, so it makes my site look good, in the long-run.
I got some P/T Administrators that do work once in awile - all in all, not bad. I wouldn't consider it a business, just a work-in-progress. Integrate EVERY idea I ever had for a site all under one banner ..yea, baby

To answer your question: In 5 years, I'd like to be making good $$$ through my site, tons of backlinks, tons of traffic, tons of features, ... professional work.

But yeah, that's me, I'm quite overly-ambitious. Right now, it's just a cool SMF forum. Don't knock forum software though, namepros is 100% vbulletin, and they bring in ALOT of money.
Suggest something and I'll do my very best to implement it
