Can Hosts do this?
I got my hosting cancelled today...without a word of warning...I tried to access my emails, and they wouldnt work, so I contact the Hosts Support....and they said my account had been cancelledbecuase someone had refutted the payment...
The payment had been on my brother Credit Card, and at the time of the payment, someone had gotten ahold of his Credit Card Number, and tried to Buy a $6000 Pinball Machine Through 2CO, so he cancelled all payments that got paid to 2CO including my hosting (not knowingly)....
But I did not even get a email or anything from my host....giving me the option to pay by another means, or even to explain the drama...just we canceled you account and deleted all your files....(which I have backed up, but have to install a heap of scripts etc...which will take a long time...
I thought that the host would have to give me at least some time to explain myself and work it out before deleting all my files?

It’s a learning experience! Do you have a backup of all your files?
They have a bad service. On our hosting service, we gave a couple of warnings before terminations, We give 1 month before terminating the account, if the credit card didn't go through the first time, we give a warning and try it again for 10 days. That way, it’s not a hassle to our customers.

I do have backups of all the files....it is just the bother of installing all the databases, and scripts again....

Well for one thing they are a reseller, reselling web-hosting from theplanet.com ...
that may signal something..

Yup, it's self explanatory. Do you really have to run it on Windows' servers? 
There's a saying; what you pay is what you get. Their price is right for their service. Its cheaper because they don't provide high quaility support. 
You have a couple of buddies here who run their own hosting company, why not check them out!

If you're looking for another Australian web host, I use Quadra Hosting and I would reccomend them. Support is very quick, they always let you know what is going on, I have had no dramas whatsoever and (I believe) the price is pretty good.
