My website is www.lead-the-way.co.uk and I deal with people with bad credit. Can anyone advise me on how I could get genuine traffic to my website.

I don't have a huge budget as I ahve just started out but really need to up the interest and visitors.

Now that is the million dollar question, I will give you some advice here to point you to the right direction:

1. Pick 10 key words for your website, think about them very good.
2. Submit your site to all the relevant directories(some are free some are not) check this website for some of them: http://www.seocompany.ca/directory/f...rectories.html
3. Put a signature in all your forums posting with your site link using some of the key words
4. You can use google adwords
5. You can pay a company like http://my.blogitive.com to mention your company in their blogs
6. You can pay a company like https://www.text-link-ads.com to put sponsored text ads in relevant sites.

Write articles.

I've only been online a few months, but my site is already in the top 1% of all websites on the Internet, according to Alexa.

My success is due mainly to my articles.

While it's true, my website is extremely sticky, it's my articles that get people to my site initially.

But don't start writing articles, unless you're 100% committed.

It's hard, hard work.

Writing 1 or 2 articles won't do you any good at all.

The magic is in the number of articles you write - the more you write - the more traffic you'll get!

I've written nearly 150 articles over the last few months.

And here's the best part - your article will remain in the search listings for years and years.

Write an article once and reap the benefits forever!

ltw, you might want to try advertising through Adbrite. There are many financial sites listed there, and you can get a few text ads out for about $100 a month or so.

ltw - link exchange with people with sites relating to yours, submit your site to directories, do some seo, your adwords/textlinkads/adbrite, wirte articles not only can you put them on your site but they can go on others and bring you traffic that is a few standard things you can do

Now these are the extras that i recommend you should also do:-

Yellow Pages/Thomson Local
Local Newspapers(cheaper then national)
Flyers around your area and others however this will cause costs to rise.
Advertise in your local shops.

just go to google and do a search on it. And I would advise that you use a article submission service like submityourarticle.com because it's going to take you a very loooooooooong time to log into each directory and submit your articles.

Also, I prefer a article submission service as opposed to a submission software because some directories consider software submitted articles to be SPAM.

In terms of writing articles you really must do some Keyword research. Some of the sites given in the above list like http://www.ezinearticles.com/ have a very good Google ranking. If you use the right keywords and then post your article to this site you have a very good chance that your article will appear in the first 3 pages of results. Not only will you have a one way link from this site to yours (increasing your own rank), people will also follow the link in your bio to get more information.
