Buying a domain

I have an idea for a website that is basically a directory for a certain market. I have found the domain i want, and have no idea how i would go about obtaining the rights to the name. I am in Australia.

Any help would be appreciated. Also, anyone who may have experience in this area, let me know.

Thanks all

Really,... namecheap is more customer oriented. I always used godaddy. Namecheap is cheaper. Thanks for your information, Mr. 3ntrepreneur.

My suggestion would be Namecheap. I use PayPal primarily and they are a lot easier than GoDaddy, who set up Direct Debits by default for auto renewing of domains.

Yeh it pissed me off when I saw that GoDaddy attempted to do that to me. Although it only takes a click on a tick box to prevent them to doing it-which you can unckeck during the registration process.
