What are your thoughts about naming your blog? Some people use their personal names while others use a different title/name. I am sure there are various reasons for doing both such as personal branding or entering niche markets, but I am curious as to your thoughts.

if im trying to rank high in google listings i title my blog with the targeted keyword in it... however, my personal blog has my name on it... and my husband runs an internet marketing blog with IM in the title to obviously attract others interested in Internet Marketing...

so i guess it depends on the goal of ur blog

It really depends on what your log is about. Keywords are important.

i have used both my name, and keywords. And actually Make Money Blogging With Thomas Sinfield ranks higher (second page) for the keyword 'entrepreneur blog' that Entrepreneur Blog - Entrepreneurship For Life! itself.


I used my name, because I had the domain, and it makes it more personal. But then again it means I can never sell it.
