IMO opinion a .com is best as .biz is very unprofessional especially if you want to set up a store. Gives a bad impression.

First off, I'm newly registered here, and can't wait to make my place comfortably here.
Secondly, I would advise against using a .biz in my honest opinion for many reasons. But, simply, if you want people to find u easiest, " .biz " names aren't very popular at all, so as far as search engines, your store's site may not popup as quickly as it would with a .com ( .edu, .org, and even .tv's, I believe, are more popular than .biz....plus they are more familiar thus more credible to the perception of general internet users).
A .biz may make the consumer think twice about urself. Plus, if the e-shopper finds ur online store, but doesn't bookmark it. If they want to return, they will automatically assume " .com " ... if the link doesnt work or sends them to a different site...they will either forget about ur site and look elsewhere ( unless they decide to "google" to find ur site link. Which again, may come to hurt u more as there are a plethora of links that will pop-up. )

youngmoneyblog, it seems as though this is an unpopular stance to take, but since I have alot of experience (and perhaps some of the posters in this thread do not - I am not sure), I will share with you my thoughts, which are based on past experience.
My very first Website, which was indeed very successful, was based on a .biz domain name that I was very lucky to get. To this day, I am not sure how I managed to get it when it was availalble (topwebhost.biz in case you were wondering). I have sold the business since, and the last time I checked, it was just a parked domain page, but my point is this - the TLD does not matter at all, because let's face it: unless it is a very generic term like cars.com or realestate.com, nobody will just type it in anyway. So what does this mean? It means you'll have to advertise it. So if you already have to advertise anyway (through newspaper ads, SEO, whatever), it really does not matter what the TLD is.
Again, this is based on my personal experience. I can honestly say that I believe having a .biz TLD will not hamper your success.

Thanks. I was looking for someone with experience in this. But everyone has made a valid point in terms of people memorizing the name.
GreekStore.biz, being two words and straight to the point... is, to my knowledge, SEO friendly. I was hoping that this would easily get listed at the top of search engines once it becomes developed.
Keep pumpin ideas, y'all rock!

Yes, it is definitely SEO-friendly. That's a primary reason that we changed our company name on the 1st of this month - we wanted to put keywords in the domain that would allow it to be more relevant when folks searched for companies in our industry.

The only problem id have with .biz extension is the fact that people might forget its a .biz and put .com instead. Very bad indeed.
