I use godaddy, but use www.dotster.com to search for available domains.

But be careful, it gets addictive.

So far I've got 140 domains all of which are awesome (short, easy to spell, easy to remember etc etc) and I could most likely sell each of them for a couple of thousand each.

If I decide to sell it how will that work? how will I transfer the domain to the new owner?

i know these are newbie questions but Ill really appreciate it.

Thank You

I've learned not keep all my eggs on one basket, so I rarely host my website with the same company I purchase my domain from, so that I can move quickly in case I get dissatified for any reason.

I purchase my domains from enom.com for about $8.70 per year and get a great deal of my hosting services from resellerspanel for about $3.33/month 15,000GB or $6.67/month for 25,000GB. So far I'm extremely satisfied with the services fast support. At this point in the game reliability and support are at the top of my list when it comes to hosting and these folks meet those requirements.

Godaddy's might work well for most people, but I try to stay away from the hype as much as I can. For example, the other day I had a major problem with the hosting account of a client that was under Yahoo. For some weird reason Yahoo's database engine was breaking every other month or so. When I got to the bottom of it, I could not believe that a big company like Yahoo would face those problems. I ended up moving my client's hosting account from them and things have worked out very well ever since.

my recommendation to you is to consider high up time and great service in a hosting company. I have tested many hosting companies and for some reason all of them have failed to satisfy my needs, except for what I have now. If I were you I would be very careful about hyped up hosting companies. Remember that most people get to know about them not necessarily because they are good, but because they may advertise a lot.

I would definitely go with GODADDY, actually I think it's good to buy all your domains from the same company because it makes your life a lot easier when you have to HANDLE them.

Just beware not to spent all your money buying a lot of useless domains, buying domains is something extremely addictive.

All the best!

www.globat.com domain names from $1.95 a year, then you can either buy hosting from them later or transfer it out.

Plus you need to add on the $.025 for the ICANN fees
