Question Australians - Expression of Interest

Hey guys,
I spent some time online stumbling around aimlessly before somehow finding this site - which I quite like, however are there any that focus specifically for an Australian audience?

Each night I sit at my computer, bashing away on the keyboard, developing sites, learning SEO, offline and online marketing, programming etc and feel that I am the only one!

Where are all of the other web entrepeneurs out there in OZ?

Just as a matter of asking - I have a site that I was going to take down. It was initially put up out of boredom ( I get wrestless when I dont have a project on the go ) and is focused on a classifieds type thing.

Anyway - I just got to thinking - whod be interested in jumping ship and coming across and starting an Australian based community for web developers and ecommerce enthusiasts?

I can revamp the site in no time and change everything to suit. Its powered by VBulletin and would be ready to rock and roll in no time.

www.wiggle.com.au

Thoughts?

Great Idea!

I would definately be interested in helping you out with this. Australian's need something like this, and i feel it will help many people out.

I contacted you via your website (egaragesales.com.au). Looking forward to your reply in regards to both the advertising options and this venture.

- Ross

No need for the splash page. In regards to usability, splash pages are a contradiction in that they delay the user from instant access to information they are seeking. it is bad practice and an inconvenience. The less time they are on your actual revenue gaining website ultimately the less revenue is earned. In 1991 this would have looked great. Other than that, the forum is looking good, just keep interest in your members dont let it die and keep a steady flow of interesting topics and you should build up member numbers in no time. Good luck!

I actually have a forum for this exact purpose in development. Looks like I got beaten to it

I'll be joining up anyway, looks like a neat site.
