Well first I know there are services that would put up a nice parked domain page that is relevant to the material of that domain name, and u could earn from the ads...

However, Fattony mentioned one way, that is to stick it in a sig file and browse forums with it...

Another way of making a good income of a domain not being used is

Make a story about the domain, talk about where it came from why it is there, what you are going to do with it... talk abotu dates, if you are going to sell it or not.

Then submit articles abotu your DOmain Story, people love reading stories.

Find article submitters taht realate to Domain selling and buying, Parked Domains, What are DOmains....

IN forums, there are forums that talk abotu domain buying and selling...
Tell the story there, hwo you came up with the name, why, and more...

people will click through...

Ths is all my advice here, I can't really think of anything for a parked domain but be original in what ever you do... Put a twist to it
