Question Adult websites

Has anyone had any experience with EProfitFactory.com or TurnkeySolutions.com in having them design a wbsite for you? How profitable are your adult internet ventures?

I've spoken with a programmer friend of mine who does many of the most popular adult sites.

They can generate upwards of $50,000 a month. That's if the operators provide fresh content on a consistent basis.

It really depends... definitely content plays a big roll in this but also how you choose to run it. I would say that you are best not using affiliate programs... you don't usually make good coin for the time and efforts you put into marketing it. Just my two cents

Smile :)

Thanks..

My website could be improved and I am always changing it.

Nest Egg Studios came about 6 yrs ago; when I was playing ultima online and thought it was cool but lacked allot of things. It took 6 years to write up technical docs, game documents, research the industry and work on prototypes.

Nest Egg Studios has been seeking funding for it main project "Heavenly Bodies" prototype. Nest Egg Studios has received good reviews on its business pitch and has captivated inside industry veterans, and CEO's alike.

I am pleased with my companies progress as being a virtually unknown independent studio. Also with being a studio that is geared towards mature game players. As the CEO I have been spending much time in dealing with advocacy for both fair practices in ratings systems geared towards the mature gaming segment and allowing for public domain knowledge of the largest consumer demographic in entertainment. While Nest Egg Studios continue its advocacy, it also continues to seek funding with co-investors.

If you want to talk or know more you can always email me at pres@nesteggstudios.com

ciao for now

I always recommend people stay away from this business as I have seen it from the inside and *shudders*. It's a big industry, you can make money. You can also lose it fast, as well as the ability to get a job in a lot of other places without a reaaaaally good record. If you end up not making much with it, keep it off of your resume for any future stuff.

You're competing with people who have a lot to work with like AVN and general media. I know ots of people who have done OK, a few who have made a mint and a lot more who have lost a lot. The guy I worked with at peepshow.com, he put together megawhores.com and used the money to start an internet billing company which is a hell of a lot more profitable for him now.

I think it depends to the degree of what part of this business do you want to get into. Also any business can be successful (even with big time competition) it is all about how you run your business (passion, networking, content.. etc etc). Allot of entrepreneurs didn't think about Playboy or Private Media when they went into business for themselves knowing how hard it is to get funding for VICE investments.
( example: Danni's Hard Drive)

About the pr0n industry:

Pros:

-- Always a market for it if you have a half way decent product.
-- Costs have come way down. You can now host a decent adult site for less than $250.00/mo. Content has also become cheaper, but that can be bad too.
-- It's not something you have to price as competitively. I've seen tons of people willing to pay $30/mo where if they knew what they were doing they could get all the porn they ever wanted for free.

Cons:

--Without original content you're hurting a bit more. Original content can cost a lot.

-- Every time some 14 year old uses mommy's CC to order your stuff it causes problems because she has to call the cops to get her money back and have her son arrested. It seems like they would just let it go, but take it from someone who's been there -- you WILL get blamed and you WILL hear about it
-- You'll never deal with more idiots in your life when it comes to tech support. It's always your fault and they always want their money back. The good side to that is when they think they've won, they'll sign up fo ran account again. Go figure.

-- Keeping it on the DL. Not everyone cares, but for most of us, being Ed Powers or Ron Jeremy is not how we like our community to perceive us.

PS - if you want to add something to that site of yours, there's software out now for VOD (DivX DRM ready) for liek $50 for streaming media with pay-per-view, pay for time and membership. It's http://streamworxvod.com I think
