Ad Words by Google...any Feedback.

Good Afternoon

I was wondering if someone has used Ad Words by Google, if you have, is it effective? Is it worth trying?

Any feedback would truly be appreciated.

Thank you

I am using Google Adwords right now. It's somewhat effective. But it's very arbitrary, the bidding process. It seems costs continually increase, squeezing your margins. You have to check on it everyday. Your ads often get canceled if they don't get enough clicks or somebody bids higher. Basically it's centered around on how Google can make the most money.

its ok. harrymcwealth is right when he said that it seems the cost continually increases. I use the Budget Optimizer feature. You just set how much you want to spend in a month, and it will automatically change the bids on each of your key words from day to day to make sure they get clicks and tries to spread your budget out amongst as many key words as possible.

There are definitely more affective ways to advertise, but its kind of an easy thing to set up and not worry about it for a while (if you have the budget optimizer feature enabled). When you are first starting out you want to keep a close eye on it though; so you can update your keeps words and settings and what-not until you are pleased with the results.

Depending on your market, AdWords is a great tool. The trouble is that for keywords related to industries such as Web hosting, the CPC has been bid up too high for smaller entrepreneurs to compete.

You should try advertising with Yahoo or Microsoft, if you sign up they give you $50 in credits free. I also think the setup fee is less too, $5 vs. $10 at Google.

Also try adbrite. I have them on my site at www.mojacity.com and I think that they are cleaner ads and more compelling for the user to click on them. Check them out and good luck!
