I have been thinking about getting vBulletin. I currently run my forum with MyBB - Home and it seems to be good. But vBulletin seems to have so much more to offer. At this time I do not have the money to pay for vBulletin. I was wondering if I have the money at last and buy vBulletin do I ever have to pay anything again? Like a yearly subscription, pay for updates or anything like that?

$160 is so much money for a dang forum. I certainly have other things that will be coming first like DBA and retail license but maybe some day I will buy vBulletin. I thought about downloading it from a torrent site or something but considering it will be connected to the net I am sure you would get caught rather quickly. But anyways...if anyone has information about other costs or anything then please let me know.

I haven't used vBulletin myself, and am interested as to what features it offers over your current software?

You can pay half the price and lease it for 12 months to see if it does what you want.

I have recently just purchased a copy, and I decided on it because of the exstensive mods and support you get, it best suited my need.

Another good free forum is phpBB, lost of mods and support for that also.

Well I might buy it. However it will have to wait until my online pet supply biz is up and going and this will more then likely still be atleast 6 months from now.
