a multi-million dollar concept with a light bulb waiting to turn on..

You know that lots of sites have made money, whether it be miniscual or large sums off providing advertising opportunties to companies. The first site that comes to mind is www.milliondollarhomepage.com Well how do you get a lot of people to view your site if you post it all around the internet in forums, blogs, press releases, and about anywhere else you can get your domain name out for free... What is a good hook, if the amount you get for advertising is based off the number of people you get to your site and if the number of people you get to your site is based off the amount you get advertising? (like million dollar homepage)....

What do you think?

I would think if this was the case, you would first populate the site with friends and families links.

Im about to launch a site where the above is exactly the case. Im planning on doing a few hundred freebies, then start advertising it.

How do you get alot of people to the site? Well, if its interesting and innovative like MDH was, word of it will spread like a virus over the net. If that doesnt happen, either make it happen, or advertise.
