Truth:

He did sell the site for $xxx, xxx

However, he gets a set amount for 2 years to keep him active in the sites development and ensures it meets the targets set by the new owners.

Hey thats really great, and I fully support selling his site. I had an offer on my main site for around $xx,xxx but I declined it..this was before university after university the site has been going down hill, absolutely no time for anything. I still wouldn't sell it if I were to go back, because I worked on it too much and money isn't my main motivation. But I know alot of people who develop sites for selling them. Most of the big sites like youtube, myspace all start of with a few million and are usually aimed at selling bigger companies.

If he can do that at 15 then im sure he'll have more than enough money to buy a house in a few years.

Nah, you'll find these things are very much hit and miss, most of the time it's a miss. My guestimate; he'll only sell 1 more site for 6 figures in his life.

Hard task or not, he's 15 years old and, since his parents still take care of him (come on, he's 15, he doesn't need to pay rent, house, mortgage, car...), he can use the free time to think of another websites, without worrying about money at all.

If he needs to do some investing, he's got $100'000. He's been successful once, and I personally believe that if he continues that way, he'll have enough monthly income to pay his bills when he's 18, AND still keep the $100'000.
