Just wondering what you would do if you had to make 10k in 30 days.....

Sounds like a stupid question but I never go into business with the "get rich quick" mentality of setting something up just to suck out as much money asap.

My businesses are focused on medium - long term sustainability, so I havent put much thought into a scenario like this.


....but back to the question. If you had to make 10k in 30 days (for whatever reason) what would you do? Offline or Online business?

My answer is:

Buy the resale rights/JV with an info product that is being utilised offline but not online...i.e. and go from there. Obviously it would take time to find quality info products but I think if you find an untapped market and go from there you could make 10k in 30 days.

Anyone up for the challenge? ;-)

Enter the promotional products market.

Approach the procurement officer of a big corporate firm such as IBM, and ask them if you could supply mugs with IBM logo printed on them for their staff and clients. Once you get the contract down, get a loan and acquire the specified quantity of mugs and then get them printed with the logo. Do that for a few coporates and you will have well over 10K within 30 days.

A very important factor here is how much money you get to start with.

So give me a figure for an initial capital.

I would definately do it offline ... if I were allowed to do it illegally it would be an online phishing scam, but legally I would buy a hotel keep it for a month and sell it. My friends dad owns a hotel and I know on busy nights they pull in 10k just from rooms (they have a bar + vending machines also)


- edit: and for the record you could allways take out a loan to buy the hotel, and as longs as you were able to sell it for almost the same price you would come out on top

I have been thinking about doing this. There is a site called Hole in One International that insures for prizes in hole in one contests or putting contests. What you can do instead of holding a tourney is build a small putting ramp with 50 feet of artificial in front. Get insured through this company ($800 for $10000 prize) and head to the busiest mall nearby or trade show. Do it for a month as a qualifier with one person putting for $10000 at the end of the month. Make $10000 in a month? Maybe. Try it.
