I'm young person who would like to venture into making an internet business, however i don't know where to start or even what the purpose of my company should be for example whats the most profitable, popular etc. Any help would be much appreciated!!

Most popular... most profitable, these arn't really good factors to go on, because most of the profitable businesses are taken up, try to find something you love doing and turning that to an online business, or think of something that will make life easier, there always good things to go on..

finding things you love to do and willing to do for many years to come is important. because you need passion to carry you on at down times, plus you can probably do better with things you love, otherwise working for yourself will turn into a big burden.

second, I suggest you work for established companies that help you build up the skills and experiences you will need to run your own business eventually. for example, if you decided selling music instruments online is what you want to do, then go work for musicianfriends.com, or work for a trading company to get familiar with trading business, learn how to import/export merchandise from overseas, learn how to manage inventories, build up your relationship with vendors.
