Firstly, thanks for taking the time to read this, I know there's alot of super interesting things you could be doing right now besides helping out a noob like myself

I get ideas all the time, I have to keep a notebook by my bed at night since I even get them in my sleep; from small gadgets to convenience everyday life to art designs, lyrics, babycare gizmos, game ideas etc... trouble is I'm finding the NDA world a little confusing, I've sought legal advice & these guys are trying to milk my purse! I've since found a free template, looks to be sound - yet I'm still unsure as to what to do next? Do I take it to a solicitor or can I just print it out & use it right away?

My ears are open! x

If I understand you correctly you are talking about Non-Disclosure Agreements? I have one that I got from online, I read it over, took out anything that didn't apply, and use it when I hire my employees. I can send you a copy if you want to use it. PM me for more details.

p.s. Lawyers are for people with lots of money, I do most of my legal work myself. There are lots of online resources for that kind of thing.

Non-Disclosure Agreements are to stop whoever you are working with running off with your idea.

PeterBrown: With all due respect I don't think this is a chance to pitch for customers. Why the hell would he be referring to a website template? He's clearly discussing NDA templates... Anyway, you don't need a lawyer to produce your NDA contract, but you will to enforce it should it come to that hence it is probably best you at least discuss the content with your lawyer of choice. I'm telling you this as a lawyer - take a chill pill

no one cares about your ideas, and you're not in a position to enforce any confidentiality rights, because you don't have any money, and because the court would declare these template nda's as void

anyhow, polkadotpants - let me put this gingerly - you don't know the first thing about entrepreneurship which is why you are worrying about silly concepts like nda's - which are legal documents designed for parties in completely different circumnstances to yours

to move forward: get a clue, and focus on more important things like selling stuff
