Are there regular reports of product return rate & product failure rate for major entertainment electronics manufacturers?
I remember reading somewhere that manufacturers are perhaps required to provide retailers a report that describes overall failure/defect rate for their products, and retailers are perhaps required to provide a report to the SEC or similar organization about their product return rates (if customers bring in product and return them back to the store). If these are true, are they available for public use?
