Hello my names Kimblerly Franklin and I am an 18 year old college student. I like to design wording on paper scan it into the computer and design it on photoshop. I have been working on my designs for about 2 years now and i created a catalog and a web site over my winter break I had. my web site is ... http://members.cox.net/fak/
I take my designs and iron them onto T-shirts. My target audiance is 15-25 year olds male and female. In the long run I would like to have my own t-shirt store, but as of now I am busy being a full time student so with that outa the question for now I was thinking of going to local t-shirt shops around the beach areas down here in San Diego to see if the shops would be willing to use my designs and if so this is where i dont know what to do... say a store likes one of my designs i dont want to sell it to them because its my art work that took me time. How would I go about letting them use my design without losing my work? and what about copyrights I have tried to understand what they are and how you use them but I am still confussed. I know the local beach t-shirt stores are the place for me to push my designs there are pleanty of the age range I am going for that vacation down here my brick wall is how I go about letting them use my design without taking it from me. If you can help me in anyway it would be very helpful to me thank you --Kimberly Franklin
